I.S. Law Firm Is Proud to Support Washington, DC Turkish Festival-2012

This year, I.S. Law Firm again sponsors Turkish Festival, which takes place in the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. Turkish Festival-2012 marks the Festival’s 10 year anniversary.

The Annual Washington, DC Turkish Festival is a celebration of the rich and diverse Turkish culture. The Festival brings together a wide range of artists and more than 25,000 participants from the Washington, DC area in an environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and leads to engaging interactions, all while enjoying Turkish food and coffee, browsing and shopping at the Turkish Bazaar, and watching mesmerizing stage performances.

Turkish Festival offers a full day of free activities that range from folk dancing and musical performances to arts and crafts activities, and games and contests for children and adults. Visitors also enjoy other famous aspects of the Turkish culture, such as its delicious cuisine, tradition of coffee fortune reading, and bustling Bazaar.

The Turkish Festival is organized by the American Turkish Association of Washington, DC (ATA-DC). The organization’s mission is to foster friendship between the people of Turkey and the United States of America, to raise the public knowledge level and understanding of Turkish culture and history in the community, and to help Turkish Americans preserve their culture in the United States. The Festival contributes to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity of the nation’s capital by raising awareness of Turkish culture and highlighting its role as a bridge connecting the Balkan, Middle Eastern, Caucasian, and Central Asian cultures.
