National Interest Waiver for a Financial Analyst
I.S. Law Firm obtained permanent residence (“green-card”) through a process called National Interest Waiver for our client, a financial analyst from Cyprus working in non-profit finance in the United States.
The National Interest Waiver process enables talented individuals to sponsor themselves for permanent residence in the United States, avoiding the complicated traditional methods that usually require a sponsoring employer, labor certification, lengthy processing times, and long waiting periods for priority dates.
The benefit of expediting the permanent residence application through National Interest Waiver is invaluable. It allows the applicant to avoid the usually required complicated labor certification process and lengthy visa wait times. In other words, the beneficiary of an approved National Interest Waiver petition is immediately eligible for green-card.
In this particular case, I.S. Law Firm proved to the satisfaction of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that our client meets the following three conditions required for grant of permanent residence under the National Interest Waiver process:
- Our client’s work in non-profit finance is in an area of substantial importance.
- The impact of our client’s activities as financial analyst is national in scope regardless of the specific location of our client’s activities.
- Our client’s endeavors as financial analyst significantly exceed the norm of accomplishment of others in our client’s non-profit finance field, and that they have impacted others in her field, within and outside of the physical area of our client’s work.
In support of our client’s petition, we submitted numerous documents, including academic records, letters of reference, evidence of membership in organizations, and many other documents required for all National Interest Waiver cases.
Professionals at I.S. Law Firm have helped many talented individuals to receive their green-cards through the National Interest Waiver process.
A green-card will make you eligible for all immigration benefits available to permanent residents of the United States, such as the ability to work legally for any employer, to apply for U.S. citizenship after you have held your green-card for five years, and to file immigrant visa petitions for your relatives abroad.
PLEASE NOTE THAT CASE RESULTS DEPEND UPON A VARIETY OF FACTORS UNIQUE TO EACH CASE. CASE RESULTS DESCRIBED BELOW DO NOT GUARANTEE OR PREDICT A SIMILAR RESULT IN ANY FUTURE CASE UNDERTAKEN BY I.S. LAW FIRM, PLLC.
